Filomena explores a persistent discursive line in the study, resolving the distribution of the dwelling by inserting a new volume intentionally contrasted with the preexisting structure. This new volume contains the functional program of bathroom and kitchen, grouping the wet spaces and the majority of installations. The negative space occupied by the box gives rise to the new daytime spaces of the dwelling, in relation to the existing terrace. From this new box, a system of tentacles extends, once again featuring the chromatic palette characteristic of the new intervention, distributing climate control to the rest of the preexisting spaces. The project is completed with the insertion of the pre-patio strategy, providing visual privacy and physical as well as acoustic isolation for the ground floor dwelling in relation to the street.
