La Dolors was a deeply fragmented ground floor that relegated the terrace to a residual role. The initial stripping exposes the original structure, revealing the ceramic brick load-bearing walls and the curved vaults, now whitewashed and adopted as the project’s new skin. The intervention is articulated through a rectilinear volume that concentrates the wet areas and storage, finished in a range of greens that contrasts with the pre-existing white surfaces and organizes the new layout. Along the original structural wall, a sequence of arches marks the transition between the living room, open to the façade, and the kitchen domain. Outside, part of the wall that concealed the existing vegetation is removed, allowing the lush greenery to become a backdrop and improving both views and sunlight. A ceramic platform structures the new levels, enabling a stronger relationship with this interior garden.
